Braking

Let’s face it; we would like to see all scooters have hydraulic brakes. However, that doesn’t mean electric scooters that have cable brakes are dangerous or unreliable when it comes to stopping. Ride Quality

Its ride is acceptable however, it’s not exceptional. The caveat they never mention when promoting all-terrain e-scooters is that priority falls on off-roading features.

The tubeless pneumatic road tires are excellent for comfort, particularly when traveling offroad. Their tubeless nature is great for evading pinch flats from rocks. But, if you’re using the scooter to ride primarily off roads, then it’s better to switch to self-sealing, tubeless knobby tires. These will instantly increase your traction, retain your comfort, and reduce maintenance. The Eagle Pro also comes with a built-in steering damper. When driving at high speeds and straight tracks, riders can enjoy a great stability. At top speed, the stability does not equal that of dual stem beasts such as the Wolf King GT but rather appears to be a Dualtron Thunder or Nami Burn with a steering damper installed. However, the damper for steering also makes it so that drivers need to exert more force on the handlebars when negotiating turns.

The deck is yet another area of concern. It is too short, and with this shortage of deck real estate the riders are forced to put their back foot on the footrest which is not ergonomically designed. The bright side is the Varla Eagle Pro compensates for its poor posture with a well-laid-out cockpit that is easy to use. It’s designed to provide comfort and ease of use. Its controls can be also ergonomically designed and complement the well-readable, large 9 centimeter display.

Overall, between the heavy steering feel and the athletic riding stance and the rumbling acceleration, the Eagle One Pro is exhilarating to ride, but it could also be a bit of an exercise when you’re on the road for a long time.
