Varla Electric Scooter Eagle One – Check The Varla Eagle One Pro 2022

Varla Electric Scooter Eagle One

The Eagle One Pro is an upgraded version of the manufacturer’s top-selling two-wheeler model, The Eagle One. Varla Electric Scooter Eagle One.  The design has pretty much stayed the same, it’s the Eagle One Pro is more powerful, faster and comes with a bigger battery.

Varla Electric Scooter Eagle One

Take what you knew concerning Varla’s Eagle One and toss it out the window. It’s the Varla Eagle One Pro comes here and it’s nothing like the one it replaced. And it’s not just about the larger 52% battery, though that has something to do with it–more on that later.

The Eagle One Pro is Varla’s first beast scooter and it’s likely that we’ll see plenty of top-quality high-performance scooters this season. This is a reference to Segway’s GT Series and the brand new Apollo Pro.

Varla’s Eagle One Pro sits on the line as a light heavyweight scooter that borrows its specs from beast scooters. It surpasses the weight of the local light heavier models Apollo Phantom, Vsett 10+ along with the Kaabo Mantis Pro, which weighs 79lbs. It also has 11 inches of road tires, which is typical of beast scooters like Wolf King GT and the Storm and Wolf King GT.

The Varla Eagle One Pro scooter is also remarkable with a far above average top speed for a dollar. It also has an an impressive range per pound, as well as excellent brakes per dollar. This isn’t even the most impressive feature. This off-road scooter costs about $640 less than the most comparable beasts, Segways GT1 and the Wolf Warrior 11. Varla Electric Scooter Eagle One.

Because of the big tires-something you always want to hear-the scooter is able to stand on the ground with a good clearance of more than 36 inches. They are also great for traction however they could be improved. The suspension is firm and bouncy for city trails, but the stiffness comes in handy when driving off-road. However, you may not be a fan of the shorter deck or the uncomfortably shaped kickplate, particularly off-road.

Acceleration

It is the Varla Eagle Pro’s acceleration isn’t typical of lighter heavyweight scooters, it is far superior. Varla Electric Scooter Eagle One. It is tested to have an acceleration rate of 2.1 seconds, which is close to the 15 mmh mark. This is what is expected of veteran heavyweight scooters like that of the Wolf Warrior 11 at 1.9 seconds, Dualtron Thunder at 2.0 seconds, and the Dualtron Thunder II at 2.2 seconds. This is because the Varla Eagle Pro’s only competition in the light-heavyweight category will be the Vsett 10+ with a 1.9 seconds of acceleration up between 15 and 15 mph.

The Eagle One Pro uses the same throttle as the NAMI and Wolf King GT, which means that it also shares similar dead zones. It is possible to locate an angle to anchor your thumb to ensure stability and provide it an anchor point when engaging.

Top Speed

We love the Varla Eagle Pro’s top speed, especially for the price. The scooter boasts a whopping forty mph top speed, which is well above average when compared to others in the same price range. The higher-priced Kaabo Mantis Pro only hits 37 mph top speed, while the Inokim OXO, still at the higher cost is only able to reach 36 mmh.

However, it also faces competition from lower-priced models such as those of Wolf Warrior X Pro which manages a top speed that is 43 mph and the similar priced Vsett 10+ reaches 43,5 mph.

In its weight class it is a scooter is in a league of its own and compares to its predecessor, the Dualtron Thunder.

Hill Climb

Its Varla Eagle Pro scooter is impressive for a lot of things but hill-climbing is one of them. This electric scooter can climb the hills without losing power, and it isn’t slowing down on heavy riders or poor battery levels. In our 60-meter hill climb at 10 percent gradient it was found that the scooter was able to keep the speed that was around 17 mph (and more than) until around 10% charge. Varla Electric Scooter Eagle One.

The manufacturer credits the impeccable climb to the sturdy twin motors, rated at 1000W each with a peak power of 2600W. Varla claims that the motors deliver an impressive 36 Nm in torque. This is which is enough to push the scooter up gradients of up to 35deg.

Range

Nothing beats the good miles on a scooter which is why this Varla Eagle Pro electric scooter has a reasonable distance of 58 kilometers in its tested range. Interestingly, the only scooter less than $400 of its Eagle One Pro that can beat it on the distance is Wolf Warrior X Pro, with a test range of 41 miles. It beat other scooters with higher prices, e.g., the Kaabo Mantis Pro with a 33 miles of range. Dualtron Eagle Pro at 32 miles and Vsett 10+ with 33 miles.

The battery behind the range lies a high capacity, 60V 24 Ah battery with 1440 Wh of energy. It is larger and more efficient with 21700 battery cells. This is an improvement from the predecessor, called that of the Eagle One, whose battery was rated at 946 wh and had only 18650 lithium cells. Both batteries are equipped with smart battery management systems to keep the battery in good condition. Charging the battery to capacity takes between 8 and 9 hours however, you can get a second charger and reduce charge time to about four to five hours.

Braking

Let’s face it, we would prefer that all scooters came with hydraulic brakes. However, that doesn’t mean electric scooters equipped with cable brakes are dangerous or undependable when it comes to stopping. Absolutely not. In fact, the cable brakes plus EABS on Varla Eagle Pro Varla Eagle Pro offer tested braking force that is truly impressive and very easy to use. Varla Electric Scooter Eagle One.

The e-scooter can stop in only 3 meters from an approximate speed of 15 mph. The performance is comparable with that of the Vsett 10-plus. Again, the Varla Eagle’s stopping power is superior to Kaabo Wolf King, the Kaabo Wolf King, Kaabo Wolf Warrior X Pro, NAMI Burn-E, and Nami BURN-E2.

It’s not as fun to squeeze the levers with cable action on the Varla Eagle Pro the way you would do on an electric scooter that has hydraulic brakes however, the Pro’s mechanical disc brakes do not leave anything to be desired when they perform.

The EABS stops that the brakes aren’t locking up. They are adjustable via the P-settings displayed on the display. You can adjust them in between zero and two which means 0 is a weak setting, and 2 is for a high setting.

Ride Quality

The ride quality is acceptable however, it’s not exceptional. The only thing they don’t discuss when promoting all-terrain e-scooters is that they are primarily focused on off-roading features.

The tubeless pneumatic road tires are ideal for comfort, particularly when driving offroad. Their tubeless nature is great for evading pinch flats from rocks. But, if you’re using the scooter to ride primarily off urban tracks, it’s better to switch to self-sealing knobby tires. These will instantly increase your traction, retain your comfort, and reduce maintenance. In addition, because of the tires and a 17 centimeter clearance on the ground, obstacles in the track will not scratch the underdeck

The suspension system feels hard. The Varla Eagle Pro could benefit more from adjustable shocks, or by adjusting a spring with a lower spring rate. But the rigid setup is effective when taking on large bumps, and prevents the scooter from bottoming out. If the track is well maintained the suspension is a little too bouncy for the comfort.

It is also equipped with a steering damper. Eagle Pro also comes with an inbuilt steering damper. In high-speed along straight tracks users will experience excellent stability. At top speed the stability does not equal that of dual stem beasts such as Wolf King GT. Wolf King GT but rather is more like the Dualtron Thunder or Nami Burn with a steering damper installed. On the downside, the damper on the steering also makes it so that drivers will need to exert more force on the handlebars when trying to negotiate turns.

The deck is yet another area to be concerned about. It’s too small and due to this lack of usable deck real estate it is a constant struggle for riders to rest their back feet on the footrest, which is not ergonomically designed. One bright spot is that the Varla Eagle Pro compensates for a poor stance with a well-laid-out cockpit that is easy to use. It was designed to be comfortable and user-friendliness. Controls have been also ergonomically designed and complement the large, well-lit 9 centimeter display.

Overall, between the hefty feeling of the steering, the sporty riding stance and the rumbling acceleration that the Eagle One Pro is exhilarating to ride. It can also be a workout when you’re racing hard.
