Varla Eagle One Pro Pro All Terrains Electric Scooter

The Eagle One Pro is an upgraded version of the company’s best-selling two-wheeler, the Eagle One. Varla Eagle One Pro Pro All Terrains Electric Scooter.  Although the design has pretty much stayed the same but the Eagle One Pro is more robust, quicker and comes with a bigger battery.

You know what you learned regarding Varla’s Eagle One and toss it out the window. The Varla Eagle One Pro is here and it’s nothing like its predecessor. And it’s not just about the 52% bigger battery, even though it has something to do with it–more about that in the near future.

The Eagle One Pro is Varla’s first beast scooter and it appears there will be a lot of high-performance, flagship scooters this season. This is a reference to Segway’s GT Series and the brand new Apollo Pro.

Varla’s Eagle One Pro sits on the fence as it’s a light weight scooter that borrows its specs of beast-scooters. It is heavier than its light weights Apollo Phantom, Vsett 10+, and Kaabo Mantis Pro, which weighs 79 lbs. And, it also comes with 11 inches road tires, which is typical of beast scooters like Storm and Wolf King GT. Storm and Wolf King GT.

It’s a great scooter. Varla Eagle One Pro scooter is also remarkable with a far above trend top speed in dollars, exceptional performance per pound and great braking per dollar. That’s not even the best aspect. The off-road scooter is about $640 cheaper than the closest competing beasts, Segways GT1 and the Wolf Warrior 11. Varla Eagle One Pro Pro All Terrains Electric Scooter.

Thanks to the large tires-something you’ve always wanted to hear-the scooter is able to stand on the ground with a good clearance at over 36 inches. They are also good for traction, however they could be improved. The suspension feels stiff and bouncy for city trails, but the stiffness can be useful when traveling off-road. You might not like the short deck or its uncomfortable kickplate, especially when riding off-road.

Acceleration

The Varla Eagle Pro’s speed isn’t typical of lighter heavyweight scooters, it is so much better. Varla Eagle One Pro Pro All Terrains Electric Scooter. It has a tested acceleration rate of 2.1 seconds to the 15 mmh mark. This is the speed that’s typical of heavyweights from the past such as those of Wolf Warrior 11 at 1.9 seconds, Dualtron Thunder at 2.0 seconds along with Dualtron Thunder II at 2.2 seconds. Dualtron Thunder II at 2.2 seconds. This is because the Varla Eagle Pro’s only rival in the light heavyweight class will be Vsett 10+. Vsett 10+ with a 1.9 seconds of acceleration, accelerating to 15 mph.

It is worth noting that the Eagle One Pro uses the same throttle as the NAMI and Wolf King GT, which means that it also has similar dead zones. You might want to find an angle that will anchor your thumb to keep it in place and provide it an anchor location when engaging.

Top Speed

We are awestruck by this Varla Eagle Pro’s top speed, especially for its price tag. The scooter has a staggering forty mph top speed, which is well above average when it is compared with other scooters in the same price range. The more expensive Kaabo Mantis Pro only hits 37 mph top speed, while the Inokim OXO, still at an expensive price has a lower speed of 36 millimeters.

However it also is competing with lower models, such as the Wolf Warrior X Pro which achieves an top speed of 43 mph and the similar priced Vsett 10+ reaches 43,5 mph.

In its weight class it is a scooter is in a class of its own and is comparable to that of the first Dualtron Thunder.

Hill Climb

Its Varla Eagle Pro electric scooter is remarkable for many things including hill-climbing, which is certainly one of them. The electric scooter will go up steep hills without losing any power, and doesn’t seem to let up when there are heavy riders or low battery situations. During our 60 m hill test with a 10% slope and a 10% gradient, the scooter was able to maintain the speed of around 17 mph (and over) till approximately 10% of charge. Varla Eagle One Pro Pro All Terrains Electric Scooter.

The company attributes the impressive hill climbing to the robust dual motors that are rated at 1000 W each, with a peak power of 2600 W. Varla claims that the motors produce an impressive 36 Nm in torque. This is sufficient to propel the scooter up gradients of up to 35deg.

Range

Nothing beats good mileage on a scooter and it’s true that the Varla Eagle One Pro scooter gives a good 58 km of range tested. Interestingly, the only scooter within $400 of the Eagle One Pro that can surpass it in terms of range is the Wolf Warrior X Pro, which has a range tested that was 41 miles. It beat out other scooters that cost more, e.g., the Kaabo Mantis Pro with a 33 miles of range. Dualtron Eagle Pro at 32 miles along with the Vsett 10+ at 33 miles.

The battery behind the range is a high capacity 60V 24 Ah battery that has 1440 Wh of power. It’s larger and more energy-dense with 21700 cell batteries. This is a step up from the predecessor, called that of the Eagle One, whose battery was rated at 946 wh and only came with 18650 lithium cell. Both batteries have smart battery management systems to keep the battery in good condition. Charge the battery up to capacity takes between 8 and 9 hours but you can secure an additional charger to reduce charging time to four to five hours.

Braking

We wish all scooters had hydraulic brakes. This doesn’t mean that electric scooters that have cable brakes aren’t dangerous or undependable when it comes to stopping. Absolutely not. In fact the cable brakes and EABS on the Varla Eagle Pro have a tested braking force that is truly remarkable and easy to get right. Varla Eagle One Pro Pro All Terrains Electric Scooter.

The e-scooter stops in just 3 meters from a speed of 15 mph. This performance is in line with Vsett 10+. Vsett 10-plus. The Varla Eagle’s stopping power outdoes those of the Kaabo Wolf King, Kaabo Wolf Warrior X Pro, NAMI Burn-E, as well as Nami BURN-E2.

It’s not as fun to squeeze the cable-actuated levers on the Varla Eagle Pro as you would on an electric scooter equipped with hydraulic brakes but the Pro’s mechanical disc brakes leave nothing to be desired when they perform.

The EABS will stop your brakes from locking up. They can be adjusted using the P-settings on the display. You can set them from 0 to 2, where 0 is on the weak setting and 2 is a stronger setting.

Ride Quality

The ride quality is decent however, it’s not exceptional. The only thing they don’t mention when talking about all-terrain e-scooters is that the primary focus should be on the off-roading aspects.

The pneumatic road tires with no tube are great for comfort, especially when traveling offroad. The tubeless nature of these tires is ideal to avoid pinch flats caused by rocks. But, if you’re using the scooter for use mostly on roads, then you’re better off changing to self-sealing, tubeless knobby tires. They will automatically increase your traction, retain your comfort and cut down on maintenance. Also, thanks to the tires and the 17 centimeter clearance from the ground obstructions on the track won’t scrape the underdeck

The suspension feels rigid. It’s a bit stiff. Varla Eagle Pro would benefit more from adjustable shocks or the spring to less spring force. But the rigid setup is efficient when taking on large bumps, and prevents the scooter from bottoming out. On well-maintained tracks, the suspension feels somewhat bouncy for comfort.

It is also equipped with a steering damper. Eagle Pro also comes with an inbuilt steering damper. In high-speed and straight tracks, users will experience excellent stability. At top speed, the stability does not equal the stability offered by dual stem monsters like Wolf King GT. Wolf King GT but rather feels like the Dualtron Thunder or Nami Burn with a steering damper installed. However, the steering damper also makes it so that drivers need to exert more force on the handlebars when making turns.

The deck is another cause to be concerned about. It is too short, and with this shortage of usable deck real estate it is a constant struggle for riders to place the back foot on the footrest that isn’t designed ergonomically. One bright spot is that the Varla Eagle Pro can make up for a poor stance with an excellently laid-out and comfortable cockpit that is easy on your hands. It’s designed to provide comfort and convenience. The controls can be also ergonomically designed to complement the clear, large 9 centimeter screen.

Overall, with the heavy steering feel as well as the sporty riding posture and the fast acceleration that the Eagle One Pro is exhilarating to ride, but it can also be quite an exercise when you’re racing hard.
